Baby Borrowers sponsors: Countdown

This post has been moved to my other blog, The Road to Black. To post a comment, visit the link.

Here is the list of sponsors of The Baby Borrowers as of May 22. Let us see how many of these companies we can harry into dropping their sponsorship. Contact as many as you can, as many ways as you can, as often as you can to express your disapproval. Be firm, but please remain calm, detached, and polite. Rational voices are far more effective than hysterical ones.

I will keep track of which companies discontinue their support. And let me reiterate, please, use a rational voice. And it should go without saying that you should not break any laws and should cease communications with a company if they ask you to do so (i.e. no harrassment).

Do you understand "reality" tv? If you go to nbc.com, you can see the parents are nearby, the nannies are there, they are safe. Although, I wouldn't volunteer my kid for the show, it should still be interesting to watch.
I don't see why these people are protesting. Its a positive show that teaches positive morals. The children are being supervised and child therapists and the parents are always close by.

seriously. how dumb can you get? i thinkn people just want to have something to be pissed off again. if you are going to boycott this show for the use of kids then you really need to boycott all of tv and film since they use way more kids at will for so many more hours a week. this show used the kids for like 3 days and is trying to teach responsible parenting.
Also, the ironic thing is, the more negative blogs, articles, comments, etc. that are out there, the more people will want to watch. I do think it is a little appalling for the parents to stick their babies into this environment, no matter if the parents are right there or not.
These teenagers need to be watching the NBC's new show called Baby Barrowers to see how hard it's like to be a parent. I think NBC is doing a great job at trying to prevent early pregnancies.

The kidnappers, really? The parents are next door and can intervene at any time. Kidnapped by NBC? I don't think so. These people clearly didn't do their research.
Yeah...lets not try and educate teens on pregnancy. Lets have an army of Jamie Lynn Spears followers. I read that there were over 700,000 teen pregnancies in the U.S. last year. If that doesn't seem like an epidemic, then I don't know what is.
I agree. I think this show should be as mandatory as sex-ed. Because obviously the current techniques of teaching teens aren't working. Every parent with a teen should watch this show with their kids, especially if they are sexually active.
I don't know how the producers got this idea... where else does this happen? I mean, I have trouble finding someone to watch my pet while I'm gone. Am I alone, or would other people jump all over this?
I'm with you Think86, those people are crazy!

how can you be so insensitive! These are real live, and the babies didn't have a choice, the babies didn't have a choice!
I think this show is a good idea. Something has to be done to show these teens that pregnancy and raising a child isn't all fun and games. Jamie Lynn and Juno aren't helping either, I think all parents with teens should watch this show with their teens and discuss safe sex and contraception.

Seriously, how dumb can you get, pmichellj? Clearly, you don't have kids. The parents may be next door, but the babies don't know it, can't communicate with them, and don't know what "three days" or "temporary" means. Separating infants and toddlers from their parents is a bad idea, though it's making lots of money for NBC. Unfortunately, if their parents are so irresponsible and poorly-educated that they're willing to hand the kids over to NBC and some hapless teens, these kids don't have a great chance anyway.
I agree, teen pregnancy is a big issue in this country. And while I don't think that I would volunteer my own child for this "social experiment," I don't necessarily fault the parent who have. I like that NBC has gotten creative (well, creative in as much as bringing this show over from Europe) in its attempt to take part in the fight against teen pregnancy. But honestly, I think we're going about it all wrong! We as a society keep telling teens that its ok for them to have sex (even random casual sex), but then we tell them that they shouldn't get pregnant, and we chastize them when they do. STD's and emotional/self-image disorders are also epidemics that have stemmed from our ever decreasing morality in this country. Why not teach our kids about the dangers and negatives of casual sex and tell them to wait until they are married, rather than tell them that dangers are out there and teach them how to use contraception. In case no one noticed, the contraception hasn't made much dent in the epidemic!
I think that this show was a really great idea because so many people WANT to have a baby because they want it to give the attention but this show tells them that a baby needs more than that and it is an example of how it is going to be like if they decide to have a baby. They see what it is like in the real world and how it is going to actually be.

Wow how mature let's boycott the baby borrowers because it has 18 year olds living in the same house oh my god it's like there actual adults living in the same house sleeping in the same bed. How retarded are you? Read up about something before you complain about it. These are legal adults who attend college no less and actually want to "try" out parenting before they do it!!! You should only be so lucky if your kids would even consider doing this. I hope every teen watches this, I dont know about you but I am tired of paying for irrisponsible teen parents welfare. I hope they start airing this in schools!!!
